Hop on over to the Eggstravaganza!
Grab your baskets and come down to Lakeway City Park (502 Hurst Creek Road) to celebrate Spring with the City’s annual Eggstravaganza! The event will kick off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 with vendors, Lakeway bunny photos and chalk art competitions. Then, between 2:45 p.m. and 3:45 p.m., special age-specific egg hunts will take place. Each hunt will also feature a ‘golden egg’ with a special prize inside. Enter the Lakeway Photo Festival!
Celebrating its 20th year, the Lakeway Photo Festival showcases both the unique beauty of our area and the amazing talents of our local photographers. This year the photo categories include Nature, Wildlife, Community, Artistic and Student plus two brand new categories: Pets and Foodie! Amateur or professional photographers as well as LTISD photography students are encouraged to enter. All photos must be taken in the City of Lakeway and by residents within the Lake Travis ISD area. Art Intersects Science in April
Visit the Lake Travis Community Library this April to view the photography exhibit of local artist Mary Seewoster. Seewoster grew up in Missouri and worked at the University of Missouri’s Department of History and Research Reactor. After receiving a camera from a co-worker, she learned the basics of 35mm film photography and began volunteering to take photos of instruments, experiments, and student research projects. She applied for and won an award to attend workshops sponsored by the Professional Photographers of America. In 2000, Seewoster became a mid-life career changer and earned a Bachelor of Science in Photography. In 2008, after the loss of her Missouri relatives, she left for Texas.…

Movies in the Park Returns in 2022
Movies In the Park is an annual family friendly spring and summer time film screening series presented at Lakeway City Park. Movies are FREE to the public, located on the lower level of Lakeway City Park and will begin at dusk – approximately 6:30pm in the spring (summer at 8:45pm). Free popcorn and other treats for purchase will be available. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair to set up at our ‘Theater Under the Stars‘ featuring our NEW LED screen. The City of Lakeway Arts Committee presents the 2022 Cool Arts Show and Studio Tour on August 27th from 1-5pm at the Lakeway Activity Center. This year the annual party has expanded to an unique arts festival chock full of live music, food trucks, and kids activities. You won’t want to miss it!
