Travel the World in Watercolors
This month at the Lake Travis Community Library, don’t miss the travel inspired watercolor paintings of local artist Ben Kuenemann. Ben was born in El Paso and grew up in Houston. He attended San Jacinto High School and is a proud member of the dwindling “Band of Brothers” Class of 1954, former San Jacinto football players. He went on to attend UT, graduating with a degree in Engineering in 1959. Ben and his wife of 62 years, Sylvia, retired to their dream home in Lakeway in 1996. Local Artists to be Showcased at Lakeway City Hall
The City of Lakeway Arts Committee is showcasing different local Lakeway artists though out the year at the Lakeway City Hall Art Gallery. If you are an artist living in the Lakeway, TX area we invite you to submit your work for consideration for an exhibit at the City of Lakeway Art Gallery, located inside City Hall at 1102 Lohmans Crossing Rd, Lakeway, TX 78734. Artists working in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pencil, pastel, charcoal, etching, screen printing, photography, or mixed media will be considered for this venue. Get Ready for Inspiration Fest
Lakeway Church’s Inspiration Fest will be a day-long, family-friendly celebration of creative gifts on April 23, 2022. More than an art fair, the Fest will feature exhibits, demonstrations, workshops, and talks on a wide variety of artistic endeavors such as painting, cooking, gardening, writing, photography, pottery, sculpting, acting, music and more. The event is free for the public to attend. Doors open at 10 am and the event closes at 4 pm. Donations from participants and attendees help support The Refuge. Ready to Inspire Others? Bee Cave Calls for Artwork
Please join us for our second annual ‘Members Only’ Exhibition. The Exhibition will be held from August 6th to October 1st. Each member will be guaranteed one entry in the show and can submit up to five pieces to be juried! The deadline for submissions is Sunday, June 27th, 2021.
