Vibrant Oil Paintings of Texas and Lake Travis
The Lakeway Arts Committee is proud to feature the oil paintings of local artist Mary Barnes at City Hall. The gallery is open during normal business hours, or before, during, or after a City Council meeting. The gallery is located just outside the lobby area at City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing Road. Barnes’ oil paintings capture the beauty of the Texas and Lake Travis area in vivid detail. Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout the state. Empowering the ATX Community with Meaningful Public Art
Decades of artistic evolution on the streets of Austin, Texas have culminated in ATX Urban Art, a first-of-its-kind exhibition and book showcasing the city’s graffiti, street art, murals, and mosaics from the 1950s to today. It shines a spotlight on Austin artists at a time when the rapid growth of our city makes the preservation of the works from early pioneers and those carrying the torch today so important. Visions of Abstract Colors Dance at the LTC Library
Local artist Denise Schneyer will exhibit her acrylic and pastel artwork at the Lake Travis Community Library this month. Schneyer works in abstracts and enjoys creating images that are full of color and movement. She is a member of several arts organizations including the Austin Pastel Society, Lakeway Painters, and the Creative Arts Society of Austin. She has exhibited her work at the Dougherty Arts Center, Austin-Bergstrom Airport, and Studio 2 Gallery, among others.
