Bee Cave Arts Foundation showcases 60 Local Artists
The 4th Annual Bee Cave Arts Foundation Members Exhibition begins Saturday May 20 with an opening reception on May 20 from 2-4pm. Stop by and see 60 local artists and over 100 stunning works of art. This is always one of their most loved exhibitions each year. Art exhibit will be available through August 18th.

Exploring Planets and Stars at the Lake Travis Community Library
Join us at the Lake Travis Community Library for fun events this summer like experiencing the wonders of the night sky from inside a mobile planetarium! On June 9th from 12-3pm, you can enter the planetarium dome and be introduced to a “star filled” sky at the Library. A trained astronomy educator from Austin Stars and Science will guide you through the stars and our solar system with the use of a digital planetarium projector and a laser pointer. How to participate: There will be six, 30-minute Mobile Planetarium sessions (12pm, 12:30pm, 1pm, 1:30pm, 2pm, and 2:30pm) with a limit of 24 participants per session. Join Us for Jazz & Art at the Lakeway Photo Festival Reception!
Join us for a jazzy celebration of all the talented local photographers who entered the 21st Annual Lakeway Photo Festival this year! There were 164 beautiful photographs entered from 54 talented local Lakeway photographers. On Sunday June 11th at 4pm, Lakeway photographers, friends, and families are invited to attend the 21st Lakeway Photo Festival Awards Reception where the winners and honorable mentions will be announced. All are welcome to enjoy an arts filled afternoon admiring the outstanding winning photos while listening to live jazz and enjoying cookies and refreshments. Awards reception will be held at the Lakeway Activity Center (105 Cross Creek). See you there!

Watercolors that Capture Texas Living
Local artist Judy Hazen will display her watercolor artwork in the Lake Travis Community Library in the month of May. Hazen has lived in Lakeway with her husband Fred for 25 years. After retiring from a nursing career, her interest in watercolors developed from classes with local artists and various painting workshops presented by the Lakeway Painters. Hazen’s work is inspired by her RV travels and by her grandchildren. Stop by and meet the artist at the Library’s artist reception on Saturday May 6th from 1pm to 2:30pm. See you there!

Before it was a movie, this pop culture favorite was an off-Broadway hit. With sharp, witty banter and memorable one-liners, six women from all walks of life celebrate the everyday joys and tears of small-town living while gathered at their favorite hair salon. When tragedy strikes, the play reveals the steely bonds of compassion and love that hold true friends together.
