The Lakeway Arts District presents “Women in Art”, a very special art exhibition celebrating Women’s History Month from March 1-31st at the Lake Travis Community Library. This creative exhibit of paintings, drawings, digital AI art and mixed media sculptures by local women artists was inspired by women’s history, health, beauty, motherhood and equality. Discover the Ancient Lyrical Music of the Kora
Sean Gaskell will give a performance and educational demonstration on the West African kora, an ancient 21-stringed harp from West Africa at the Lake Travis Community Library on February 17th from from 3-4pm. He will feature traditional songs that are the heart and soul of the kora’s musical repertoire in addition to some of his own personal compositions. The concert is free and all ages are welcome! The Kora is native to the Mande peoples who live within the countries of Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Guinea, and Guinea Bissau. Lake Travis Film Festival
The Lake Travis Film Festival (LTFF) is an annual event that features film screenings, film panel discussions, and exciting social events. It is a film festival with an eye to showcasing filmmakers around the globe with authenticity, vision, and purpose. LTFF has brought together filmmakers to celebrate their accomplishments in the beautiful Texas Hill Country for a star studded weekend since 2020. The Lake Travis area offers natural beauty and an abundance of visitor activities. There are many hotels and locations suited to the screenings, parties, and workshops that will accompany the event. Arts in the Afternoon: Lakeway Masterpiece Concert No. 2
Beautiful classical music will resonate again in Lakeway this February! Join us for Lakeway Masterpiece Concert No. 2 on February 12th from 4-5pm at the Lakeway Activity Center. Andrew and Sari Pearce, along with their famous globe-trotting guests, will perform some of the most beautiful music ever written at this Masterpiece Concert. This performance is a part of the Masterpiece Concert Series presented by the City of Lakeway Arts Committee. BuzzFest
Bee Cave Buzzfest is an award-winning annual tech-art festival featuring nationally acclaimed electronic music performers and immersive light and sound art installations. The Bee Cave BuzzFest was created by an interdisciplinary team of artists, designers, technologists, engineers, and creative entrepreneurs to create a huge art and sound installation with video art projections, immersive multichannel sound, original electronic music compositions, and choreographed performances featuring light-reactive props and costumes.
